Common reasons for problems connecting your bank:
- Incorrect credential entered: Double-check your username/password and try again
- Problem at the bank's end or incomplete setup of your bank account:
- Try logging in from a private browser
- Check if there's an expected error on your bank's end. As a general rule, they update their system within a couple of days, and you should be able to connect again by then. Plaid reports the status of the most popular accounts here: https://status.plaid.com/
- If it still doesn't work, login to your bank and check for updated privacy policy or some form of action needed before your bank can be connected with a third-party app
- Multi-factored authentication (MFA): Some banks require additional security measures such as MFA. Make sure you have completed all the necessary steps to enable MFA on your bank account.
